Royal forest which constitutes a place of choice for a walk far from the city in a unique setting in Compiègne.

The forest covers 14,357 hectares, making it one of the largest state-owned forests in France. It offers a diversity of landscapes and, thanks to over 1,000 km of roads and paths, is ideal for walks and hikes. Historically, it is marked by the armistices of 1918 and 1940, signed in the clearing at Rethondes. Today, the forest is also the site of peace gardens, symbolizing international brotherhood. The site is home to remarkable biodiversity, with a varied fauna including deer and wild boar.

Une forêt majestueuse, qui gagne en intérêt quand on s'y enfonce avec respect. Sans ça le réseau de pistes permet de la sillonner dans tous les sens.

Une forêt très agréable à parcourir avec plusieurs possibilités de randonnées, à travers la forêt, autours des lacs. Le tout se fait facilement depuis le château. Une superbe vue depuis le bout de l'avenue des Beaux-Monts qui relie la forêt au château!

Ne pas partir de Compiègne sans se balader dans la forêt de Compiègne, majestueuse et très verdoyante. De larges sentiers et multiples détours, bien balisés d'ailleurs. Et pourquoi ne pas prendre le VTT ????
