Eparpillées in the old town, some houses were occupied by the German bombings of 1940. Just behind the cathedral, those of Racine and Pastour streets built in the th century are, for example, recognisable to their étages floors. It is in the route des Chasse-marée that is the oldest house in Beauvais: judge rather, it dates back to 1410!
