NATIONAL TAPESTRY FACTORY
Tapestry founded as a Royal Manufacture in 1664 by Colbert in Beauvais.
Tapestry is not a thing of the past. The Manufacture still produces magnificent pieces for the Mobilier national. The weavers perpetuate the technique of the basse-lisse. Founded as a royal factory in 1664 by Colbert, it was bombed during the Second World War and transferred to the Gobelins in Paris. It was only in 1989 that it returned to the capital of Beauvaisis. The development of the tapestry is successful, married to contemporary art.

Nous avons juste un peu le sentiment de déranger les personnes dans leurs travail car elles doivent être concentrés pour réaliser les tapisseries.
