Dedicated to Saint Lucien, the region's first evangelizer, it was a major religious center. Pursued by the Romans, he took refuge on Mont Mille, where he suffered the martyrdom of decapitation. During the French Revolution, Saint-Lucien Abbey was sold as national property and used as a stone quarry. The remaining tower bears witness to the medieval architecture and historical importance of the site.
