20 years after Jules, Gabriel relaunches his great-great-grandfather's 1903 chocolate factory
in the family mill dating back to 1313. Discover the stages of traditional chocolate-making on a fun, sensory tour: history of the mill, original machinery, working from the cocoa bean to the chocolate bar. Anaïs and Gabriel welcome you to the boutique, where you can treat yourself or offer gifts, and to the tea room, where you can sample chocolates for drinking or munching. An excellent way of promoting and passing on our cultural heritage.

Opening time and information on LA FABRIQUE DE CHOCOLAT
Artisan chocolatier since the cocoa bean. Mill, museum, chocolate/tea room. October to March open Wednesday to Saturday 10am-6pm; April to June Wednesday to Sunday 10am-6pm; July to September Tuesday to Sunday 10am-6pm. Free for children under 6. Adults: €7. Children (6 to 12 years): €5. Self-guided tours, guided tours by appointment only (minimum 10 people): 1h130: €12/adult; 1h45 with tasting: €17. Store. Parking.
Owner's Message
La Fabrique de Chocolat 1903 is located in La Bastide-Clairence, which has been awarded the "Plus Beaux Villages de France" and "Ville et Métiers d'Art" labels. Nestled in an authentic 14th-century mill, our workshop-boutique offers an immersive journey through the various stages of traditional chocolate-making.
Come and enjoy a playful, sensory experience in this remarkable heritage, rich in history and culture. In our boutique corner, indulge in a variety of chocolates in different forms: tablets, pralines, and much more. It's a veritable universe of gourmet treats that will delight the taste buds of young and old alike!
Visits are self-guided, allowing you to discover at your own pace. In July and August, take advantage of our guided tours by reservation for an even deeper immersion in the art of chocolate. Don't miss this unique opportunity to savor chocolate excellence in an enchanting setting!

Je recommande la visite du musée
L’entrée est certes un peu onéreuse pour une visite non guidée, mais lorsqu’on regarde, à la fin, la vidéo qui résume le projet on comprend que les fonds servent à aider ce projet familial. Le prix de 7€ la tablette ne m’a pas choqué quand on sait la façon dont elle a été fabriquée. Si l’on compare le prix au kg avec celui de tablettes industrielles de grandes marques cela n’est pas tellement plus cher… mais la qualité est incomparable.
Nous avons trouvé cela intéressant découvrir tout le processus de fabrication du chocolat de la cosse à la tablette.
Bref, nous avons été satisfaits de notre visite et nous sommes contents d’avoir contribué au projet.
Les chocolats sont très bons. Nous sommes repartis avec de quoi nous régaler !
