The Asinerie de Pierretoun offers an educational and entertaining visit, a donkey ride and a tasting of virtuous donkey milk
Frédéric opens the doors of his farm for an educational and entertaining visit. Discover the daily life of a Pyrenean donkey breeder. A rare breed, characterized by its black coat and white eye rims, the endangered local species is pampered here. Visit accompanied by a milking demonstration, taste the virtuous donkey milk according to the season, and take a donkey ride. Round off your visit with a visit to the store, where you'll find authentic donkey milk products, and the restaurant, where you can sample local produce and enjoy a good local craft beer!

Welcome to the Farm. July/August: open every day (except Sunday) from 9am to 7pm. September to June: open Wednesdays from 3pm to 6pm and school vacations Monday to Friday from 11am to 6pm. Farm store. Free, fun and educational tour: approx. 1h. Donkey rides on reservation: 15 €/h, 45 € per day. Summertime snack bar featuring local produce. Online sales at www.pierretoun.fr. Gîte à la Ferme. Vans and campervans welcome.
Owner's Message
The Asinerie de Pierretoun is located in the Basque Country, in the village of La Bastide Clairence, classified "Most Beautiful Village of France" because it has kept all the charm of the bastides of the past.
Located at thirty kilometers of the Basque coast and Spain, we are in position of geographical and cultural crossroads. The Asinerie de Pierretoun was born in a protected natural area, which has allowed to preserve an authentic borde belonging to the cultural and family heritage.
The Asinerie de Pierretoun is a member of the Association of the Donkeys of the Pyrenees and of the network "Bienvenue à la Ferme" as a discovery farm and farm products. Our objective: to control each step of our activity, from the breeding of a reasonable size, to the production of milk for the manufacture and marketing of products; this in order to control the quality of the products for the satisfaction of our customers and to realize a sustainable activity for us and of course our donkeys.

????♂️ Une balade agréable sur le site, avec une visite guidée passionnante menée par Frédéric, le gérant, passionné par ses animaux (ânes, lamas, cochons, oies, et bien d’autres).
????️ Un déjeuner convivial avec des produits du terroir : planches gourmandes, frites, desserts au lait d’ânesse… le tout à un prix tout à fait honnête, que ce soit pour la visite ou la restauration.
???? Une vue magnifique et une terrasse très agréable pour boire un verre entre copains, dans un cadre paisible et ressourçant.
Un lieu authentique et accueillant, à découvrir absolument, surtout en période estivale !
