Beautiful Regency-style chapel adjoining the former Visitation convent. Columned portico and fine interior decor.
The Visitation chapel was built between 1723 and 1737, and is listed on the Inventaire des Monuments Historiques. It's easy to see why, when you see the main façade decorated with a portico of Corinthian columns. Inside, the cross-shaped sanctuary is dominated by a magnificent dome, and its decor and furnishings are breathtaking. Highlights include the Sacred Heart altarpiece and the superb sculpture of St. Catherine of Alexandria.
