In just a few years, Le Mans has earned a national reputation for street art with its Plein Champ festival.
This street art festival, founded in 2019, aims to create a link between urban artists and visitors, who are invited to discover the works as they are being created, for 3 days of spectacular live performances and a festive atmosphere. Some forty street artists are involved, including some stars, in association with concerts, workshops, including one for children, installations and night-time projections. It didn't take long for the event to gain international recognition. Since then, the walls of Le Mans have become enchanted, and the city is visited for its frescoes. Its remarkable urban itinerary alone justifies a visit to the capital of the Sarthe region.
