Classified as a historic monument, this château, built in the late 13th century, has stood the test of time. From the keep of this ancient fortified castle, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Bidouze valley and the Pyrenees. Remains of Renaissance decorations, facades and roofs recall the taste of the great men of the 17th century. Every summer, Château de Gramont lends its ancestral setting to historical performances and summer events, such as torch-lit evenings and musical fireworks during village festivals. The majestic castle of Bidache, in the Basque Country, classified as a Historic Monument, opens its doors to reveal itself in a different light, consolidated and embellished, after 10 years of closure for restoration work
Travel through 6 centuries of history and architecture and admire from the top of the 15th century keep a unique 360° panorama of the Bidouze valley and the Pyrenees chain.
Sanitary measures :
Limited number of people. Online reservations and information on 05 59 56 03 49.
Wearing the mask is to be expected in the narrow and closed parts.
Application of hydroalcoholic gel at the entrance (made available).
The castle has large outdoor courtyards with a surface area of 600m2 and 900m2. They will allow you to get acquainted with the history of the site while enjoying the beneficial air of the Bidouze plain that the castle overlooks. The
access ramps
and handles will be disinfected after each visit.
The castle can only be discovered by guided tour, no free access

Pour des raisons de sécurité il n'y a pas de visites libres du Château de Bidache. Cela dit, en cette saison nous proposons des visites guidées du mercredi au samedi à 15h30 et 17h. Nous avons aussi un large programme d'animations tout au long de la saison.
