This Préfailles semaphore is a former maritime observation post, featuring historical, maritime and military memorabilia.
A former maritime observation post, it reveals historical, maritime and military memories. Exhibition room, history of semaphores, account of 5 shipwrecks in the estuary between the 18th and 20th centuries: Battle of the Cardinals in 1759 where the Juste disappeared, the disaster of the Lancastria, Saint-Philibert... The multimedia room allows you to evaluate your knowledge of the maritime environment through games. Upstairs, you will find navigation aids from the 19th and 20th centuries and maritime communications.

We arrived just after work and that makes all the difference. The location was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Small beating: Expand the shop and the carpet… but it will come. Ideal with children because not too long and very informative.

petit musée mais avec de jolies choses à découvrir. Les personnes qui nous font la visite, nous permettent d'apprendre de nombreuses choses passionnantes comme le fonctionnement des sémaphores, les codes, les échouages, les lentilles de phares,... Un bon moment à passer, pour quelques bons moment, avec en prime juste à côté, de nombreux blocos à voir, en se baladant sur la côte.
