The old granite houses, adorned with hydrangeas and hollyhocks, line the streets of Piriacais
The resort's streets are brimming with old granite houses, blooming with hydrangeas and hollyhocks. Follow in the footsteps of famous writers who have stayed in Piriac. Several houses in the harbor belonged to the family of writer Alphonse de Châteaubriant and date back to the 17th century. The large Flemish-style house was a regular guest until the last war. Castel Rado (2, rue Neuve) was built in 1626 and boasts a fine stone staircase, original dormer windows and roof. At the entrance to the venelle du Sourd, one of Piriac's oldest houses, dating from 1640, can be seen on the left.
