In the summer of 2019, thanks to the generosity of Internet users and to the delight of lovers of good bread, La Maison Boulangerie was born. It is in this luminous and rough waxed concrete setting that Pierre-Antoine Arlot, Chin-Jy Cheng and their team of passionate baristas, bakers and pastry cooks are busy. Graduated as an organic artisan baker at the International School of Baking, Pierre-Antoine has worked in beautiful houses throughout Europe. At La Maison, the bread is artisanal, organic, leavened and made on slow fermenting millstone flour. As for the coffees, they are roasted by Allpress, percolator and gentle extraction. The teas are selected by Patchouli & Co., a Nantes-based tea-springer. In the shop window, the breads are beautiful and the crumbs delicate. On the premises, the coffees are tasted and processed according to the rules of the art. Lovingly born in Nantes, that's what you can read about the rice pudding of its creator Yann le Corre, a promise proudly inscribed on his scooter that travels around Nantes! Rice pudding, that smooth and comforting sweetness engraved in the depths of our memory... Well, you won't believe it, but we found the time machine! Aboard his BeeOne scooter with its midnight blue dress (as in a dream), Yann has been inviting us since 2018 to rediscover the taste of our childhood. This former commercial director of the famous Maison Pradier has chosen to give a new direction to his professional life (a sort of return to his roots as a tribute to his grandparents' dairy farm in Brittany), by devoting himself to the most emblematic dessert, rice pudding. But not just any dessert! Indeed, he focuses on quality: certified organic artisanal, with milk from the Savenay area, rice from the Camargue, natural and seasonal products, without additives, colourings or preservatives and with 30% less sugar. Because its particularity is to offer a range of 80 different flavors. You can taste the classic Bourbon vanilla from Madagascar, salted butter caramel, or the most original, cinnamon lime rum, yerba maté, vanilla apple compote or Caribbean chocolate... Special attention is paid to respect for the environment: short circuits are preferred and the containers are compostable and biodegradable. Yann welcomes you during the day on Wednesday in front of the Nantes University Hospital, and in the morning on the market of Talensac on Friday, and Vertou on Saturday and Sunday. Les Hameaux Bio is a family business belonging to the Biocoop network of independent entrepreneurs. The fifth Les Hameaux Bios store opened in Nantes in 2017. Born in 2010 from an initiative by the Bio Loire Océan producers' association, and 2 social and professional integration structures, the Jardin de Cocagne de Carquefou 44 and Aspire 49, this project promotes local, organic produce from players in the agricultural sector and encourages professional reintegration. Pick up your basket at one of the 230 relay points available in Nantes, the surrounding area and Loire-Atlantique, as well as around Angers, 72, 53 and 85! Delivery takes place on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, depending on the delivery point. Each week, the basket contains 5 to 7 portions of vegetables and fruit, plus recipes.
