The Forge Neuve is one of the best preserved forges in the region
Former industrial forges site of the th century. La Forge Neuve is one of the best preserved forges in the region. Its 20 ha pond is ideal for walks through landes and pine woods. The country house, a former coal hall, houses the exhibition of the Forges country forges and traces the history of the region's metallurgy. The new Forge, considered the heart of metallurgical establishments, is one of the best preserved in the region. The coal hall, the blast furnaces, the location of the various workshops, the refinery, the foundry, the weirs, the Forges, the remains of the manor master and a street lined with workers'houses are to be seen. All constructions are classified in Historical Monuments. Since 1996, the Association des Amis de la Forge de Moisdon has developed the heritage of the new Forge of Moisdon-la-Rivière. Through a variety of means, the museum recounts the exciting history of this forge from 1668 to 1968.
