Ecomuseum with 15 aquariums at La Chevrolière, where you can meet the lake's aquatic fauna and flora.
This eco-museum, allows you to meet the aquatic fauna and the flora of the lake thanks to its 15 aquariums (10 000 liters of water). A scenography allows you to discover the local heritage and the artisanal fishing and the aquatic life of the Grand-Lieu Lake (natural reserve). The exhibition of techniques familiarizes you with the fish tanks and fishing gear in situation. The Maison des Pêcheurs houses a 12 m high panoramic tower overhanging the lake, equipped with two binocular lenses (20 times magnification!) which allow live and life-size observation of birds and other wild animals of the site in their natural environment. The Maison des Pêcheurs has a space composed of 3 new permanent exhibition rooms. They retrace the history and the habits and customs of the passis at the beginning of the 20th century: life on the lake, activities and traditional festivals. There is also a relaxation garden with an educational pond with amphibians and aquatic flora.
