THE WINDMILLS OF WAR
Guérande has several windmills: Le Moulin du Diable, the Moulin de Colveu which is inhabited, the Moulin de Beaulieu, the Moulin de Drézeux, the Moulin de la Place, the Moulin du Bout de la Rue and the Moulin de Careil. When you leave Guérande to join Herbignac, you can see the devil of the Devil. He date at the end of the th or early th century. Legend tells that the sucker, who was poor, would have pact with the devil so that he could help him build his mill. He set up a statuette of the Virgin to drive the devil away. The mill has been registered at the Historic Monument since 7 January 1901. He lost his wings, but they were restored. It is part of the mills in opposition to the so-called tête mills, such as those of Zippered and Mesquer. They have appeared with the replacement of the canvases by mobile cards.
