A natural area that offers a privileged leisure space with a lake in Bouguenais

Destination La Roche Ballue, in Bouguenais, to make a small beach in the Nantes area. This 13-hectare natural area (containing a quarry closed since 1977) offers a privileged leisure area with a 3,000 m² lake, with a landscape of high gneiss cliffs framed by greenery. Bluffing! In addition to the swimming area and its sandy beach, many activities are possible, such as climbing, games for children, areas for petanque games, bi-cross on the bumpy terrain. Group barbecues are at your disposal for grilling with family or friends in the summer.

Parc agréable pour manger le midi et se libérer l’esprit loin de la ville.

Bon spot pour se poser. Un peu de monde les mercredis et week-end. Mais en semaine hors saison c’est très agréable.

A tiny area with a little natural pool just bigger than a puddle, crowded with children and they're families. The only viewing point on the local fauna opens at 5pm, and apart from that, you can't see much of what I'm sure is a lovely environment. Being a protected area , it is all screened from humans, understandably so. Overall, very disappointing, considered the 8-euro entry. If you're not looking exactly for playgrounds and picnic areas, I suggest you avoid this place at all costs.
