Abbey with the relics of Saint Austreberthe and a treasure of sacred art, one of the most beautiful in France, in Montreuil.
The Saint-Saulve abbey church, built in the 12th century, has seen many ups and downs in its long history: damaged by an earthquake in 1467 and then by fire in 1537, it still bears fascinating historical witness today. Its treasure trove of sacred art is one of the finest in northern France, dating from the Middle Ages to the 19th century. Since the French Revolution, the abbey church has housed the relics of Saint Austreberthe. The building has been protected as a Monument Historique since 1910.

comme un lieu "Sacré" pour les catholiques et également par la suite ,pour la Franc Maçonnerie. Et ce n'est pas un hasard,si la place Gambeta où elle se situe, concentre plusieurs bâtiments importants pour la Vie de la commune : La Mairie, L'Hospice pour les personnes âgées, La Poste, un Hôtel de luxe ,cafés et autre restaurant, sans parler d'un Monument aux morts pour La Patrie.
