HÔTEL RED FOX ^{* *}

J’ai séjourné une nuit au Red Fox.
L’hôtel est simple certes, mais il est très bien placé dans le centre du Touquet et l’accueil est excellent, sympathique et chaleureux. Merci !

The staff were so friendly and helpful so it was disappointing to find that there are some issues that need to be addressed.||||Shower room smells strongly of mildew.||||Nowhere to put toiletries in shower room. Everything had to be put on the floor. Needs a shelf and shower tray.||||Not enough room to store the towels in shower room.||||Can’t sit on toilet properly because of handrail.||||Toilet seat moves when you sit on it due to twisting because of the above.||||Water flooded from the shower and went into bedroom.||||Nowhere to plug in a hairdryer near a mirror.||Needs a mirror over desk. Then a hairdryer could be plugged in near that mirror.||||No lighting near mirror by entrance door so it is very dark.||||No socket near the kettle.||||Dust and hairs in plastic holder that paper cups sit in.||||Only jam available for breakfast was Apricot. More flavours needed.||||On arrival, we were offered another room than the one that we had been allocated so I wonder if the staff were aware that our room wasn’t ideal, however it would have been on a higher floor which we couldn’t accept as my husband has a fear of heights. We were then offered another room to choose between the two which was nice but this was smaller so we picked the original room.

Great spot nr to beach and 10 mins drive to 3 Golf courses and 20 mins to to at least 2 more. Hotel has everything for a great weekend

Great hotel for golfers playing Le Touquet and Hardelot. Great location, loads of restaurants and bars nearby. Breakfast was perfect, staff were friendly and polite.
If you book through the largest golf travel company used in the UK then triple check your room type and if breakfast is included as they farm their bookings out to Expedia and don’t seem to check what has been booked by the third party. Hence our party of 8 50’s/60’s men ended up sharing double rooms and breakfast cost hadn’t been included by Expedia.
The thing is the hotel are aware of this issue and it is “normal”

Good location in town centre, comfortable rooms with buffet breakfast. Book ahead for off site car parking. Nothing fancy, but then all is as it should be.||Note - the hotel is 100% occupied by white, male, middle-aged, boozy golfers from England (Essex?) If you don’t like any of these, then book elsewhere. It is a golf hotel.
