A beautiful, well-maintained sandy beach, ideal for sports activities, swimming and sunbathing in Calais.

Calais beach is the region's most popular tourist destination. Its fine sandy beach is ideal for swimming (lifeguard surveillance in summer) and sunbathing. It has a children's playground and mini-golf course. Sports activities also include windsurfing, kitesurfing, sand yachting and beach volleyball on the courts deployed along the seawall. Stretching between Calais's West pier and the Gaston Berthe dyke, the dyke is extended at the other end by a coastal strip that allows you to walk as far as Cap Blanc Nez.

Belle plage, l'une des plus belle je trouve, beaucoup de promeneurs, sympa les terrains de jeu basket, skateboard, beaucoup d'attente au marchand de glace mais très bonne, très agréable pour passer un bon moment

Also wir war leider generell sehr enttäuscht von Calais, erst haben wir am Rathaus geparkt und sind Richtung Leuchtturm gelaufen, leider haben wir aber keinen schönes Fleckchen der Stadt gefunden. Wir haben uns dann wieder ins Auto gesetzt und wollten zum Hafen/Strand. Nachdem wir aber bereits aus dem Auto heraus gesehen haben, das direkt von Anfang an keine Hunde erlaubt sind, haben wir uns gar nicht erst einen Parkplatz gesucht. Nach unserer Erfahrung nach ist Calais, vor allem mit Hund, nicht empfehlenswert.
