Inaugurated in 1905, the Théâtre de Calais, now the Grand Théâtre et Gérard Philipe, is clearly Baroque in style, in the style of the Palais Garnier. Outside, admire the Louis XIV façade and its four statues, each representing one of the four arts: poetry, comedy, dance and music. The theatre seats 761! I sent an email to the theatre office, and they told me that visits to the theatre are forbidden, so it was very disappointing

Magnifique théâtre, sièges suffisamment confortables en orchestre, assez d'espace pour les jambes quand on est grand.
