Theater displaying a clear baroque style in the style of the Palais Garnier, with a Louis XIV façade and four statues.

Inaugurated in 1905, the Théâtre de Calais, now the Grand Théâtre et Gérard Philipe, is clearly Baroque in style, in the style of the Palais Garnier. Outside, admire the Louis XIV façade and its four statues, each representing one of the four arts: poetry, comedy, dance and music. The theatre seats 761! The theater's programming is eclectic: classical concerts, contemporary music, plays, one-man shows, circus...
