Town hall of Calais of neo-Flemish style, connected to its famous belfry of 78 m high by an arch-passage.

At 78 metres high, the belfry is one of Calais' must-see monuments... but it tends to overshadow the town hall, to which it is linked by an archway. This imposing architectural complex of red bricks from Courtrai and white stones is full of treasures: Art Deco glass roof, staircase decorated with stained glass windows from the Dagrant workshops, a superb wedding hall... The Calais town hall is typical of the neo-Flemish style, with Renaissance influences.

Lorsqu'on pénétre dans ce lieu, on est frappé par le calme. Puis on est saisi par la beauté. Le magnifique escalier nous amène à la salle des mariages et à la salle du conseil. Des pupitres expliquent les lieux, mais délivrent également des informations plus générales d'instruction civique.
L'extérieur est superbe, forme un ensemble somptueux avec le beffroi.
Les bourgeois, juste devant complètent la magnificence des lieux.
