THE ARENBERG MINE SITE

Having served as a shooting site for the famous Germinal film of Claude Berry, the Arenberg mine site has preserved some of the time frames and photographs. Guided by the former minors, the visit includes the hall of Hanged, the chevalements, the extraction buildings and the store transformed into an exhibition room. The site allows you to relive the daily lives of minors, while taking advantage of their presence to ask them all the questions you have in mind! Operated by the Mining company of Posted, this site has been protected since 1992 for its historical value and heritage.
