The Halle aux Sucres is a remarkable building housing the Centre de la Mémoire Urbaine d'Agglomération in Dunkirk.
On the east side of the harbor is the Halle aux Sucres, an imposing building that was once a sugar storage facility. Rehabilitated in 2011, it is now a lively place for the city. The different areas provide an insight into new technologies, as well as a fun way to understand the ecological and economic challenges of tomorrow, through models, videos, testimonials, guessing games and books. The Centre de la Mémoire Urbaine d'Agglomération (Urban Memory Centre) houses the town's archives, enabling you to find out a little more about Dunkirk's heritage.
