For those who prefer discovery to sunbathing, the Grand Site des Dunes de Flandre (Great Site of the Dunes of Flanders) borders the BEACH and is still home to some relics of the Second World War.

Per chi come me è abituato alle maree del Mediterraneo fa davvero impressione constatare la differenza tra l'alta e la bassa marea. Con la bassa marea la battigia si allontana di circa 360 (trecentosessanta!!!) passi; li ho contati perché non mi sembrava vero...
