The LAAC is one of the few museums to offer a panorama of art from 1945 to 1980.
With more than 2,000 works, the LAAC is one of the few museums to offer a panorama of art from 1945 to 1980. The visit begins outside with the Sculpture Garden and the architecture of the building covered in white ceramic. Inside, paintings, sketches, graphic art, objects and sculptures blend together to make the visit fun and interesting. Not to mention the temporary events offered throughout the year.

Wat een schitterend gebouw, modern van de jaren '80. Een museum van hedendaagse kunst speciaal gebouwd om kunst tentoon te stellen. Heel veel licht en ruimte.
De expositie is de moeite als je van Karel Appel houdt ????. Verder zijn er nog enkele pareltjes te ontdekken, zoals bijvoorbeeld de Nana sculpturen van Niki de Saint Phalle .
Maar museum heeft een opfrisbeurt nodig. Het gebouw sprankelt niet meer.
Fijne omgeving om te wandelen en er is nog veel meer te ontdekken in Duinkerke.

Petit musée avec quelques pièces intéressantes, mais terriblement mal mises en valeur: ranger dans des tiroirs ou des portes panneaux à glissière que l’on doit tirer et remettre un à un. Quelques pièces intéressantes prêtées par un musée de Lille en réparation actuellement. Une Nana de Nikki de St Phalle. Chouette, donc mais pas exceptionnel.

Wasn't sure what to expect with this museum but ended up staying for almost 2 hours because of how taken I was by the art pieces here. Absolutely worth the visit.
