A unique green space full of character, built around the old fortifications of Douai and featuring a large lake
A unique green space full of character! It was built around Douai's ancient fortifications, and you can still see the remains. Of particular note is a round artillery tower, built of sandstone, whose squat body has inhabited the town since around 1425. The park also boasts a large lake and beautiful trees, making it the perfect place to relax with family and friends. It owes its name to the nuns of the Abbaye des Prés!
