This port on the Deûle, a wide-gauge canal linking Belgium to the Lille metropolitan area, enjoys a privileged geographical position. At the heart of the Lille metropolitan area's green lung (with its extensive soft traffic network), it is centrally located near the Prés du Hem infrastructure (leisure center and marina) in Armentières, and the ports of Halluin and Wambrechies.
