Since 1991, this scientific organization has been tasked by the French Ministry of Ecology with the knowledge and conservation of wild flora and endangered vegetation. The institution has set up educational gardens on a 25-hectare site, including a wild plant garden, a medicinal plant garden, a meadow and a botanical workshop for practical work and simple manipulations.
