The belfry of Bailleul is one of these monuments that we admire, by its height and its architecture in the neo-Flemish style.
The Bailleul belfry is one of the 23 belfries listed as a World Heritage Site by Unesco, and is also listed as a historic monument. It's one of these monuments to be admired, not only for its height (62 meters), but also for its impressive neo-Flemish architecture. Its origins date back to before the 13thcentury . The building as we know it today was entrusted to the famous Louis-Marie Cordonnier in 1932. It is topped by a bulbous bell tower, on top of which can be seen the mermaid Mélusine gazing into a mirror.
