If you thought university teaching was reserved for young baccalaureate graduates, the Université du Temps Libre is here to fool you. In the city centre, it offers a series of conferences open to all, given by the professor-researchers of the Jean Jaurès University. History of the arts, philosophy, psychology, geopolitics, cinema, language workshops: make your choice! Each thematic cycle includes three to six conferences. Registrations at the beginning of July or early September, be careful as some cycles are quickly full.

Have you just arrived from abroad and would like to improve your French? The Alliance française can help! We offer tuition (in small groups), accommodation with host families for greater immersion in the local language and way of life, and workshops or cultural outings. So you can practice in a lively, stimulating environment. What's more, a certificate is awarded at the end of your course, validating the language level acquired during your stay in Toulouse.

Are you a student and have just arrived in Toulouse? The essential meeting is the Welcome Desk, located near the Grand Circle at the premises of the Federal University of Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées. This multilingual service has the partners of the Haute-Garonne prefecture, the rectoring of the Academy of Toulouse, the CIF of Haute-Garonne and the CROUS of Toulouse-Midi-Pyrénées. Its action is threefold.

Housing component: New Generation of Student Accommodation Reception (formerly the Rue des Lois), the Welcome Desk provides you with personalized support for all your accommodations such as the search for a guarantor or cash advance to finance your first month of rent. The CAF will also help you estimate the housing assistance you may claim.

Practical, cultural and sporting life component: The Welcome Desk provides general information about sports and cultural activities, transport, access to care, scholarships, extra jobs, training offers, solutions offered to students in situations of disability… A counseling counselor is at your disposal to help you define your graduate project.

International Hosting Component: Welcome to the Welcome Desk for international students who can apply for and withdraw their residence permit.

This association was created in 1945 with the aim of maintaining and developing the Occitan language and culture. Its members work to maintain the Occitan culture as a living and contemporary culture, creative and innovative, while assuming its history. Associated with other structures, the association offers Occitan courses for adults, but also a resource and research center as well as communication campaigns for the general public.

Founded in 1927 in Castelnaudary by Prosper Estieu and Joseph Salvat, the Collège d'Occitanie provides continuing education and distance learning of Occitan. Courses are offered for all levels: from initiation for beginners to literature and civilization courses for the more advanced. The training structure also offers conversation workshops, writing workshops as well as support for the baccalaureate or a competitive examination. The establishment was recognized as a public utility in 1969.

The international school Tunon in Toulouse prepares students from all walks of life, training in the fields of communication and event, tourism and hospitality. But it is also a school that opens doors to original professions such as image counselling, relookeuse, travel designer, wedding organizer or community manager… This school, which is internationally oriented, includes in each of its formations the study of English and a second foreign language, as well as compulsory internships in business.

The Occitan section of the University Toulouse Jean Jaurès offers several possibilities to students to study Occitan. One can find the Licence d'Occitan and the Licence bidisciplinaire Occitan-Catalan, the Diplôme Universitaire d'Occitan (centered exclusively on the practice of the language), the option Occitan as a modern language to be found in all university courses or the Master Etude et Valorisation des Patrimoines Occitan et Catalan.

If you are looking for a course, a workshop or a conversation group in Occitan in your region, the Institut d'Etudes Occitanes puts at your disposal this website with a map which gathers all the offers available near you. For the most part, you will find Occitan courses, workshops or conversation groups in the southwest of France, but you may also be lucky enough to find them in Toulon, Nice, Lyon, Clermont-Ferrand and even in Poitiers or Paris.

The University of Toulouse brings together 31 higher education establishments and research organizations. In Toulouse itself, there are three universities: Université Toulouse I for law, economics and management, Université Toulouse II for the humanities, and Université Toulouse Paul Sabatier for science, health, engineering and sport. In addition, there are numerous schools and research centers in a wide variety of fields: space studies, agronomy, political science, architecture, civil aviation... A rich offering!

Located on the UT3 university campus, the Institut de la Promotion Supérieure du Travail (IPST), in association with the regional center of the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (CNAM), offers continuing education courses, accessible without any diploma requirements. To adapt to each individual's needs, it offers both diploma and non-diploma courses, in the evening, by distance learning or on a sandwich course. Three sectors are covered: science, technology and services. It is also possible to take English courses or prepare for the Diplôme d'Accès aux Études Universitaires (DAEU).

The Toulouse Veterinary School (ENVT) is home to several clinics specialized in animal care: pets, horses, wildlife and new pets (NAC), ruminants, pigs and poultry. The clinics each own a clean organization. Every year school students care about twenty thousand animals. A team of sixty-five people will take care of the pet clinic on a dedicated surface of 3 000 m ². This clinic has a general and specialized consultation area (ophthalmology, dermatology, cardiology, cancer, dentistry…), an imaging sector, and collaborates with the diagnostic laboratory. The Office Public de la Langue Occitane is a public organization dedicated to promoting the transmission and visibility of the Occitan language. It brings together the Occitanie Region, the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region and the French State. Since its creation in 2016, the OPLO has supported actions aimed at schools, high schools and associations. Whatever your age, OPLO can help or guide you in your learning of the Occitan language!

The Lycée Airbus de Toulouse is a benchmark for training in aeronautical professions. A public institution offering free tuition, it successfully prepares students for key diplomas in the sector, such as BTS in Aeronautics, Machining and Boilermaking, as well as BTS in partnership with other schools.
