LES POILUS DE VERDUN - MUSÉE DU POSTE DE GARDE
Museum located in the former guardhouse opposite the Citadel, retracing the career of Michel Dupré, a Mayenne designer.
Opposite the Citadelle, the former guardhouse, abandoned for years, now houses a museum. It retraces the career of Michel Dupré, a Mayenne draughtsman who was swept up in the war in 1914, thanks to his many drawings, but also thanks to Pierre Brancher, a photographer in the same regiment. A faithful reconstruction with an exceptional collection of objects that belonged to the Poilus. A 3-in-1 venue, the museum also includes a restaurant and store. An authentic visit.

Best part of the museum is that it has the sketches and pictures from two different French Soldiers (who served in the same regiment) and combines this with the history of the battle.
A must see.
Visite immersive.
