LES POILUS DE VERDUN - MUSÉE DU POSTE DE GARDE
Read moreOpposite the Citadelle, the former guardhouse, abandoned for years, now houses a museum. Opening in May 2023, it traces the career of Michel Dupré, a Mayenne draughtsman who was swept up in the war in 1914 thanks to his many drawings, but also thanks to Pierre Brancher, a photographer in the same regiment. A faithful reconstruction with an exceptional collection of objects that belonged to the poilus. A 3-in-1 venue, the museum also includes a bar/restaurant and a store.
