HOTEL DE ROUYN
A private mansion with a courtyard paved with river pebbles and a garden featuring a wide variety of plant species
Built around 1650, this townhouse in the heart of the town was home to M. de Rouÿn from the end of the 17th century, then to his descendants (General René Audeoud and the de Chassey family to the present day). Testifying to the prosperity of the town of Saint-Mihiel at the time, the building adopts a U-shaped layout, with an inner courtyard paved with river pebbles. It is a typical example of a 17th-century Lorraine townhouse. A private building, it is open during the European Heritage Days and for a few days a year.
