Benedictine library in an exceptional setting, offering a short introductory video to admire the unsuspected treasures
These include 77 early manuscripts (the oldest dating from the 9th century) and 86 incunabula, books published between the invention of printing (1450) and 1500. All these precious works, which make up the Benedictine collections, are preserved in their original building. The setting is just as exceptional: a richly decorated antechamber and part of the elegant Great Hall. A 20-minute introductory video will be shown before your visit.

Wir sind nach der Mittagspause in der Touristeninformation gelandet und haben dort die Karten für eine Führung bezahlt, die innerhalb von Minuten stattfinden sollte. Wir hatten Glück noch rechtzeitig gewesen zu sein. Die Führungen sind in Englisch und Französisch möglich.
Die Bibliothek selbst war eine Tür weiter. Die Führung fand dann nur für uns 3 statt, war sehr informativ und gut gemacht. Die junge Frau hat sich Zeit genommen und auch unsere Fragen beantwortet.
