FAILLONNET HOTEL
A private mansion with windows adorned with pediments and columns, and a roof featuring 5 animal gargoyles.
This private mansion was built in the 16th century. It was acquired by the Faillonnet family in the 19th century. The Renaissance-inspired façade features windows decorated with pediments and fluted Corinthian columns. The roof features five animal gargoyles - a dog, a lion and a ram - which have earned the building its nickname of "the gargoyle house". The building has been a listed monument since 1994. It is one of Saint-Mihiel's outstanding façades. An interesting detour.
