Former abbey transformed into a departmental site dedicated to heritage and housing a museum dedicated to the history of the Pays d'Orthe.

Today transformed into a departmental site dedicated to heritage, the former Abbey of Arthous houses a museum of History and Archaeology. A place of welcome and sharing of knowledge, it organizes artistic and scientific residencies, offers temporary exhibitions and a cultural program throughout the year. This listed building was founded in the 12th century on the road to Santiago de Compostela and belongs to the Prémontrés order. Labelled as a Museum of France, the museum will help you discover the Pays d'Orthe.

Très bien à faire avec les enfants : jeux de construction ludiques (même pour les parents ????), des contes audio, des activités interactives. Plus pour les grands, exposition photo Yann Arthus Bertrand. Etc
