In the heart of Nancy, the famous Poincaré high school, a majestic establishment filled with history opened in 1804, makes it the oldest in the Ducal city. It is installed at the location of two convents dismantled by the French Revolution, the Minimes and the Visitation. Members of the Lorraine nobility or high bourgeoisie were buried in the church, like Jean Lamour.
