At the Magasin de Mots, now located on rue de la Source, you will find the boutique-workshop open to the public two days a week, to let the creator take care of her little words... Because here, it is "the movement of maintaining the marvelous in the ordinary environment" through the word, honored by the creator and artists invited to the magical boutique-bazaar. Boxes of kisses, rainbow powder, seeds of tenderness, keys to happiness, pretty words or big words, drawings to tell, to dream, to remind simplicity and to aim at the essential.

Gallerists Béatrice and Lara have found in Richard Orlinski their flagship artist, on permanent display since 2019. In Nancy, they are also the custodians of Lalique. For them, it is a question of highlighting the crafts of art of France. Gaiety and color are the key words that guide their choices, especially in temporary exhibitions, about ten per year, such as those of Nathalie Seguin and Patrick Rubinstein. Moreover, these creations give greater visibility to painters and sculptors.

This innovative concept store with a quirky atmosphere is the new HQ for Nancy residents in search of vintage or designer nuggets. Antique shop, art gallery, bookstore, thrift shop, curiosity shop: unique finds to see in this space, which also doubles as a sales area for rent. Skateboards, vinyls, vintage toys or design furniture alternate with the creators. To top it all off, you can take a break while sipping a coffee, enjoying a daily special or some tapas with a beer, all organic, local and homemade!

The Art Nouveau window in its original state serves as a showcase for the old-fashioned activity of Camille Aubert, art bookbinder and restorer. Her taste for scrapbooking and other manual activities, and even her rebellion against the dematerialized world, allowed her to open an online store. To immortalize an event, to hold precious documents, to record one's secrets, handmade paper, notebooks, books and boxes are made to measure. The paper is embellished by Camille's skillful techniques and aesthetic sense, and she offers bookbinding courses and workshops.

In this showroom, designer Christian Mollinger exhibits pieces recycled from two materials: metal (cars, motorcycles, scooters, Panhard wheels, exhaust pipes) and wood (wagon floors, antique doors, couplings). He exploits the potential of salvaged parts to create massive bars, tables and TV stands. The patina of the wood signals the repeated gestures of yesteryear, while the bluish iridescence of the polished metal parts adds a touch of softness. For fans of the industrial ambience, here in biker rock'n'roll mode.

It is only logical that the beautiful Place Stanislas should serve as the setting for the Daum boutique, a great name in crystal making whose reputation is well established. First Art Nouveau, then Art Deco, to arrive at free forms, Daum has always worked with great artists, from Gallé and Majorelle to Dalí, in a renewal of crystal itself. Their creations are exclusive, each piece made from hand-modeled glass paste is in itself a work of art, to be found among the permanent collections of colorful objects and more modern designs.

Daum, the legendary master glassmaker, perpetuates its know-how through contemporary collections typical of Art Nouveau. In almost 140 years, Daum has built up a unique collection of over 350 exceptional signatures. The factory store on the first floor of the Cristalleries building features end-of-series pieces or those with slight defects that only an expert can detect. Naturally, prices are very attractive. Daum crystal pieces are also on display at the Musée de l'École de Nancy.
