Archaeological site located in Gaujacq to discover prehistoric remains, the famous Dame à la Capuche and much more.
It was here that some of the prehistoric remains on display in the museum were discovered, as well as the famous Dame à la Capuche (housed in the Musée d'Archéologie Nationale). Discover the history of this site, occupied for over 30,000 years and excavated for almost 150 years! There are two ways to visit the Grottes du Pape, which are just outside the village, either on foot via a hiking trail or by car.
