Set in rolling countryside, Lac de Saint-Pardoux is a major tourist attraction in the Haute-Vienne and Limousin regions. Its 330 hectares and 22 million m³ of water are shared between various communes (Compreignac, Razès, Saint-Pardoux, Saint-Symphorien-sur-Couze), offering a multitude of outdoor activities, whether solo, with friends or family. Depending on the site, you can relax and have fun. Lac de Saint-Pardoux is also an ideal place for hiking, biking and horse-riding, with 50 km of marked trails. The 24 km "Tour du lac" trail takes in the remarkable natural surroundings (moorland, heather, forests, etc.). A cycle path links Santrop to Fréaudour, and equestrian centers offer rides, stays and other courses. Fishing is still very popular on this2nd category lake. The lake offers 3 beaches with lifeguard surveillance: Chabannes, Fréautour and Santrop. The first also has a sailing school. The second offers water-skiing in summer. It's also a nature sports base with mountain biking, climbing wall, archery... On the third, the most residential, you can rent canoes in season. This is also where you'll find the Arbre et Aventure tree-climbing park. The 6 perfectly safe courses are of different levels. So there's something for everyone to enjoy and excel at. Santrop also features a zip line over the lake and several sports fields.
