SAINT-SAUVEUR CHURCH
This church attracts the curious because of its surprising bell twisted. A octagonal base, it is surmounted by a 20-metre high spiral arrow. From the building built in the th century by the monks of the priory dependent on the monastery of Charroux, there remains only the western door with its two large round columns to the archaic capitals, the north wall and part of the chapel, the church having undergone numerous restorations. Entirely built in impactites (rocks formed during the fall of the meteorite), it contains sarcophagi of the th century. His choir is covered by frescoes depicting biblical scenes, carried out in the twentieth century by Nicolaï Greschny, who also realized those of the Jeanne d'Arc church of Limoges or the church of Auzances in Creuse. Calm and authentic, the place is to visit especially during the expositions (every seven years) and Christmas for its crèche.
