A Gallo-Roman site where archaeologists have found important remains to reconstruct the existence of a real city.
Free visits of the site all year round and you can meet the volunteers who are on site on Saturdays from April to October.
Since 2010, thanks to the tenacity of a local association of volunteers, with the help of archaeologists, excavations have resumed on this Gallo-Roman site first discovered in the 19th century and which has fallen into oblivion. Important remains that reconstruct the existence of a real city with habitats, squares, streets, wells, a fountain, thermal baths, etc., on an area of more than 7 hectares. To get an idea of the work that remains to be done, currently barely a tenth has been exploited! As the site is protected and located on private land, open visits are not allowed but you can meet the volunteers who are on site on Saturday mornings from April to October. Exhibition at the tourist office in Pierre-Buffière and at the Musée de l'Évêché in Limoges of various objects found
