La Distillerie du Centre, an artisan heritage preserved since 1789 in Limoges.
Founded in 1789, Distillerie du Centre is the latest heir to a long tradition. Labelled a "living heritage company", it perpetuates the art and recipes of the master liquor makers of yesteryear, still working almost entirely by hand and using local products. It still distills in its 19th-century stills, a true challenge to time and modernism. There's a store for your purchases, and a museum in an adjoining building, where you can relive 200 years of history, ending your visit with a tasting
