Archaeological association offering guided tours of the Arros battery to discover its history and that of its occupants.

The Forteresse Gironde Sud archaeological group organizes guided tours of the Arros battery, built on the site of a pre-war French battery. Cleared and maintained by the association, it is the best-preserved battery in the area. Learn about the history of the site and its inhabitants (construction, battles, etc.) before discovering the different models of bunkers and their layout, their uses and equipment, their weaponry and the different techniques used during construction. Bring closed shoes and a flashlight.
