Château Filhot is a wine estate located in the commune of Sauternes. It is classified as a second growth in the official Bordeaux wine classification of 1855. The estate covers 350 hectares, including 62 hectares of vineyards. Château Filhot is renowned not only for its wine, but also for its vast English-style park created by landscape gardener Louis-Bernard Fischer in 1845. Tours can accommodate up to 35 people and are available in French and English. Appointments can also be made for weekend visits.

Très bel endroit
Très bel endroit niché dans un parc de verdure en pleine terre du Sauternais, accessible à pieds du centre-ville de sauternes (800m = 15min), les vins y sont délicieux, très bon rapport qualité/prix pour une qualité de travail au top. Leurs chaix sont authentiques et magnifiques, cette douce odeur de sauternes en barriques vous émerveillera. C'est le propriétaire qui nous a effectué la visite et la vente au chaix, il est très explicite et a su s'adapter facilement à son auditoire.
Leurs vins y sont délicieux, nous en avons acheté, mais nous prévoyons d'y repasser l'année prochaine.
