Le Cabestan - Ferme du Pêcheur de Lamproie is a farm located in Lavagnac, in the commune of Sainte-Terre. This farm carries on the tradition of Lavagnac's 15th-century fisheries, and offers visitors the chance to discover specialities based on fish caught in freshwater on the Dordogne River, including Lamprey à la Bordelaise. Visitors can also sample lamprey rillettes, a unique specialty. In season, you can buy freshly caught fish, as well as lamprey verrines à la Bordelaise all year round. Le Cabestan - Ferme du Pêcheur organizes tours of the fishery, and offers tastings or meals featuring lamprey à la Bordelaise for groups, by prior arrangement. The farm uses local products to process the lamprey, such as wines from Sainte-Terre, Loupiac and Saint-Emilion, and leeks from the Lamothe Montravel market gardener.

Such a beautiful place and absolutely delicious food, highly, highly recommend eating here, and I wish we could go again and try more of the menu. Thanks, Sabine, for your wonderful service!
As someone who doesn't speak French I get a little nervous at some places, but we felt so welcome here :)

The best restaurant we found around St Emillion. Unpretentious, well-priced, authentic. Just superb
