Surrounded by a very small wine estate, a large garden and a wooded park. A magnificent cloister of Romanesque inspiration opens onto the swimming pool. Michelle and Jean Claude made us very welcome and we joined them for an incredible evening meal, with wine. This place is a hidden gem. We last stayed here 20 years ago and little had changed. If you stay, take a look down the garden, where JC has gathered an eclectic collection of artefacts and added humorous signs to describe it. It's 28 miles to the Royanne Ferry from here so ideal for an overnight stay or to explore the area. Recommended.
