A 150-hectare family estate, Les Charmettes is run by Eric and Nicolas Alcon. Overlooking the Etang de Thau and the Mediterranean, this certified High Environmental Value vineyard enjoys a mild climate. Its two terroirs - one clay and quartz ideal for Mediterranean grape varieties, the other clay-sand-lime ideal for Atlantic varieties - produce IGP Côtes de Thau wines renowned for their freshness. Between reds (such as Cabernet-Sauvignon Lou Pedregal), whites (La Magdelaine) and rosés (Tradition), the estate pays particular attention to vineyard management, with vines trained in short pruning (cordon de Royat).
