LA CLOSERIE DE FRONSAC
Tasting of local wines on the terrace of charming guest rooms in Saint-Michel-de-Fronsac.
The Closerie de Fronsac is a 17th century mansion house. Built of blond stones, it houses charming guest rooms. In the past, this charming residence housed the pilgrims of Santiago de Compostela, who took a little rest there before crossing the Dordogne, at the foot of the village. The terrace with a view of the vineyards and the gently rolling environment are truly enchanting. Ideal to rest before visiting Saint-Emilion and discover the vineyard! Passionate winegrower, your host, - it is Alain, without forgetting Marie-Christine -, will offer you the opportunity to taste his local wine. He will reveal the secrets of the Great Bordeaux Vineyard to you again. In addition to the kindness of the owners, you will appreciate the refinement of the services: Limoges porcelain, silverware and antique crystal, and also market fruits, herbal infusions and freshly roasted coffee.

The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, making our stay even more special!!! The breakfasts were delicious, and their own Fronsac wine is something that deserves a review of its own! Unfortunately, we only stayed for two nights... But we took with us bottles of wine and memories.
One of my favorite moments was waking up early and walking through the vineyards in the morning. Just imagine this - the air was heavy with humidity but filled with the sweet scent of grape juice!!! and then you step out from the vineyard and feel the croissants scent freshly baked for the breakfast... OMG!!!
Château Fronsac is truly worth a visit, and I highly recommend it!
